Rescheduled Trip Success Story

We kicked off the week with a trip that had been rescheduled thanks to Lake Erie's unpredictable mood swings (shoutout to the wind and waves for keeping things interesting). Conditions weren't exactly "postcard perfect," but the Tiara was more than ready to do what big boats do best!

Our afternoon crew was a returning group, and they were pumped to be back on board. Lucky for us, the walleye decided they were up for a little cruise, too—apparently, the Tiara looked like the place to be. We totally get the appeal… but once they hit the cooler, we're guessing they had a few regrets about their choices. 😅

Multi-Generational Fishing Adventure

There's nothing better than getting multiple generations out on the water together! We started off the week with an awesome friend and a family trio—dad, grandpa, and grandson who've been fishing with us for years. These guys are true legacy anglers, and no matter the weather or the bite, they show up with great attitudes and a love for just being out on the lake.

They like to say "we're out here for the experience and the fish are just a bonus!" Lake Erie gave us a bit of a bumpy start this morning, but by the time we hit their limit of walleye, the sun was shining and the waves had settled—it turned into an absolutely beautiful day out there! Being part of moments like this is exactly why we got into charter fishing in the first place. Great people, great memories, and just a love for being on the water.

Depth: 20-24 feet of water

Water Clarity: Clean to slightly stained

Bait: Spoons - Hangry Brand (green and white has been productive)

Speed: 2.2-2.4mph

Leads: 30-80 back off big boards (deeper leads have been more productive)

What's Working This Week

The walleye have been responding well to our tried-and-true techniques. The key has been adjusting our lead lengths, with the deeper presentations at 80 feet back producing the most consistent results. Water conditions at Bolles Harbor have been favorable, with the clean to slightly stained water providing excellent visibility for both anglers and fish.
